The upgrade is available in increments of 128 MB, so you will be able to include as much RAM as you want at any time, taking advantage of the overall flexibility of our system. The amount of memory which you order will be assigned to your existing virtual hosting server, so you shall not need to do anything on your end. You will not detect any downtime on your sites, because the VPS will not be shut down or rebooted for the additional memory to be assigned to it. The upgrade can be ordered either during the signup procedure - provided you know upfront that you'll need it, or later using the billing area - in the event that you need it after you've begun using the hosting server.
